With huge star casts like Seth Rogen, Rose Bryne and Zac Efron, ‘Neighbors’ is a top-notch level comedy film that has the capability to bring ear to ear smile on anyone’s face. It is directed by Nicholas Stoller and produced by Seth Rogen, James Weaver and Evan Goldberg. Teddy and Pete live in the house next door where Teddy is the president and Pete plays his right hand. At issue is who has the right to be irresponsible. Although they have a kid, a mortgage and other trappings of grown-up life, neither is entirely willing to give up the wild, impulsive behavior associated with youth. Mac (Seth Rogen) thinks his gender (and perhaps also his body type) entitles him to be the self-indulgent one. “We can’t both be Kevin James,” he says. And of course, he points out, Kelly (Rose Byrne) is a wife and mother, a bit of biological typecasting she furiously resents, and one that “Neighbors” rejects.
